EFIKASI DIRI SEBAGAI MEDIATOR: KOMUNIKASI INTERPERSONAL, KOMPETENSI, DAN ADAPTABILITAS PADA KINERJA PEGAWAI

Abstrak

Tujuan penelitian ini menganalisis peran efikasi diri dalam hubungan komunikasi interpersonal, kompetensi, dan adaptabilitas pada kinerja pegawai.
Kompleksitas kerja dan tekanan operasional dalam organisasi menegaskan urgensi pemahaman mekanisme psikologis yang mendasari pembentukan kinerja pegawai. Pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain survei eksplanatori diterapkan, dengan melibatkan 332 personel di Kepolisian Brigade Mobil melalui teknik purposive sampling dan data dianalisis menggunakan Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa kompetensi dan adaptabilitas berpengaruh positif dan signifikan pada efikasi diri. Efikasi diri selanjutnya berpengaruh positif pada kinerja pegawai sekaligus terbukti memediasi hubungan kompetensi dan adaptabilitas pada kinerja. Sebaliknya, komunikasi
interpersonal tidak menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan pada efikasi diri maupun kinerja baik secara langsung maupun melalui mediasi. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa kapasitas individu saja tidak cukup untuk menghasilkan kinerja yang optimal tanpa keyakinan pada kemampuan diri dalam menyelesaikan tugas. Penelitian ini memperkuat peran efikasi diri sebagai mekanisme psikologis vital dalam organisasi berisiko tinggi, sekaligus memberikan wawasan baru bahwa pengembangan sumber daya manusia kepolisian perlu melampaui peningkatan kompetensi teknis, dengan turut memprioritaskan penguatan efikasi diri personel.
